Christin Saumure, LCSW, LCADC
I have worked in various outpatient settings throughout my career, supporting opiate dependent pregnant women throughout their pregnancy and postpartum, assisting individuals experiencing significant mental health and substance use concerns as well as working with families impacted by traumatic experiences and supporting them to maintain their families' wellness and the reduce impact from ongoing trauma.
I have a strong interest in supporting women and families that have experienced addiction, trauma, domestic/sexual violence, as well as families with special needs.
I find this work very rewarding as I've had the privilege to see some incredible successes. While I get to know so much about the individuals I work with, I think it's also important for you to know a bit about me. I am a mother to a handsome, young man. Together we love to travel, bake cookies, and go on bike rides. While he is the light of my life, I've also learned about the stresses that can accompany parents of children with various needs. I believe that this is an area not all therapists can truly understand without some lived experience. I also enjoy going to the beach, working in the garden and going for walks with friends.
I graduated from the University of Scranton with a Bachelors degree in Psychology and Monmouth University with a Masters degree in Social Work specializing in clinical work with individuals and families.
